Teacher impressions - Poland

We have already spent a few days and are still very present the wonderful days we spent in Wroclaw, a city in Poland that was a pleasant surprise for its history and beauty.
The first day after our arrival we spent visiting the city center close to our hotel and the wonderful cathedral with its two tall towers that stand on its surroundings. The first surprise was the strong and bright sunshine greeted us in the early morning. Then, another big surprise of the morning was delicious botanical garden with its different areas, arboretum, riparian plants, ornamental plants, greenhouse plants and tropical plants.
I and my colleagues, Leopoldo and Pilar greatly enjoyed this time observing the many existing species and the excellent care of maintenance that can be observed.
On the second day of stay we received a friendly welcome both at school and in the town hall and then visit the old town and several major cultural centers such as the Puppet theater, opera building, the university and the leopoldina classroom in addition to climb the tower of the Garrison church. The steep climb was rewarded with a beautiful panoramic view of the entire city and its surroundings. Finally, we close the day by dining in the traditional while luxurious Lviv restaurant in the heart of the Great Market square.
The third day served to encourage more informal relationships between participants and to know a little more, with two pleasant activities. In the morning we did 12 km rafting, funny battle water included, in a quiet tributary of the river in the mountains of Duszniki. For many of us it was the first time in this beautiful experience. In the afternoon, after eating trout in the area, we climbed to the top of Mount Szczeliniec Wielki (919 m) in Table Mountains National Park. This sandstone mountain invites enter their interior through caves and narrow paths where winter glacier residues remain.
The last day will also be in our memories, especially for the brief but wonderful boat ride along the Oder River to the Afrikarium with zoo and a spectacular aquarium, where we could see very interesting species such as sturgeon and striped species.
Finally, with the farewell came the typical cries. We want the friendship that has developed between the participants, students and teachers, are maintained over time. Thanks to the Polish teachers led by Magda, Polish students and families that we have so lovingly welcomed.

Different cultures and different lives and have come to end. It is done and now we are on the final stage. Ours was united in a common point. It was the time to get new experiences for our lives, to recognize and respect to the differences. To add a new experience and give that chance to our students. What did they get? Friendship, brotherhood and most importantly be aware of the others.
Thanks Comenius project for your connectivity. You taught so many things to us.
All my colleauges thank you very much for everything, especially for your hospitality and support. The wish to meet again somewhere...

I'm glad I was part of the Comenius team project and I had the opportunity to come to Poland. What can I say: Wroclaw is a wonderful city, full of history, culture ... a perfect combination with the people. I felt great. Thanks for the beautiful days spent, for the organization ... for everything. It was a meeting of 10, but the trip gets +10. Keep in touch ...

It was my first trip in this Comenius project and as well in Poland.
I liked Wroclaw city, the mix of old and new, past and future. The Cathedral, the Wroclaw University, the Rynek Square and other tourist attractions shows the care of the local municipality for their past.
I was impressed by the attention given by the Polish people for religion, too.
The trip to the National Park was amazing and the beauty of the nature, impressive.
I hope I'll see again these wonderful places. Congratulation for the polish team, because they organized this unforgettable meeting.

Our wonderful project has ended with a wonderful meeting. Even if it was overshadowed by the thought of parting of dear friends. But we didn't had the time to think about this because our hosts have known how to make us feel … TOGETHER at this last meeting.
We now have other nice memories that we will keep in our hearts.
The Odra River, islands, bridges, parks of the Wroclaw, an idyllic city. Impressive with its gothic churches and surprising with its modern symbol - the funny dwarfs. And their history related to the communist resistance in the 80s. The walks on the streets of the old city or in the Market Square made us feel extraordinary. Just as we have felt in the middle of the wonderful nature in the National Park Gory Sto??owe, up and down among the strange rocks carved by the wind. Or at Duszniki-Zdroj spa town, listening to the Chopin music. Not to speak about the rafting race, there was fun... and lovely nature.
The program, diverse and interesting had it all ...and something more … the permanently care of the hosts to make us feel not well ... but marvelous .
Thank you for ALL ... Jerzy, Magda, Joanna, parents and students from Poland.
When everything started I didn’t expect I will love so much this project and every single moment spent with you, dear Comenius friends ...
I will always be very, very, very grateful to each of you for these two amazing years and especially to you, Magda... because you brought us together.

The project biodiversity of rivers is now finished. The opportunity was given to students and their teachers to learn new items using english language. It was fantastic to hear students and teachers of six nationalities talking together without any barrier.
I was fortunate to partipate on the last meeting in Wroclaw. Our polish friends proposed a nice schedule with sightseeing, cultural and sport activities. Thanks for all the great moments spent together.
To sum up : friendships started with the Comenius project and they'll be continued !

The last meeting of one of the best experience in my life. 2 years where I lived in a special and tight relationship with my students and discovered new colleagues who become friends for life. The last meeting was a very good surprise even if I had no prejudice before coming. In fact I was very surprised by the beauty of the town : many historical sightseeing and a very dynamic center harmoniously located. The plan of the meeting was very accurate, miscellaneous and I'd really appreciate all the activities Magdalena organized for us. The faces of my student was clue to proof that this meeting was amazing ..,the last but. ...
I sincerely hope to see you soon,  anytime, anywhere
Already miss you all.
